We Are Family Community Development Corporation Education Programs are dedicated to fostering the spiritual, intellectual, and social development of its students.
The Child Learning Centers at Union Bethel
Education at Union Bethel challenges its students to strive for excellence, to fully embrace responsibility, to exemplify honor, integrity, and character, and to fully understand and embrace the tenets of the Christian faith. The Union Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church Child Learning Centers are State of Maryland certified approved Pre-Schools in Randallstown, Maryland. The Child Learning Centers provide students a comprehensive Christian-based pre-school curriculum to develop the young mind. The children range in age from 2 through 5 years.
Students enrolled in the Child Learning Center receive Christian Education, Academics, Social and Emotional Development, and Cognition. In addition, Spanish, Sign-Language, Computers, African American Studies for Youth, and Physical Education have been incorporated into the expansive curriculum. All subjects are taught in a creative manner to stimulate the young mind by caring and certified team leader instructors under the guidance and review of Mrs. Ethel Wilkes, Director.
The Houghton Mifflin curriculum is utilized -- a curriculum which independent research studies have confirmed as having efficacy and being compliant with federal legislation. Students entering kindergarten from this program have the requisite academic preparation to be successful in public and private school.
The Child Learning Centers are open year round; its hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Before- and After-School Program services: are provided in a safe and stimulating place from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Children from K— grade 5 receive homework assistance, physical education, cultural activities and arts and crafts. This program follows the Baltimore County Public Schools calendar.
